Police continue attacks against Rev. Nguyen Hong Quang

CTV Danlambao - Around 9:30 this morning, March 25, 2015, Rev. Nguyen Hong Quang, the pastor of the Mennonite church of My Phuoc at D10, My Phuoc 1, Ben Cat, Binh Duong province, and his son Nguyen Quang Trieu had been cruelly assaulted by communist security agents while were on their way to their church to do routine maintenance works.

The Rev. Le Quang Du, Nguyen Van Phuong and Y Thieu, who tried to help the two victims, were also beaten badly. The attack took place in the presence of the local uniformed police.

At least 5 attackers repeatedly kicked and used helmets to punch Trieu causing bleeding and injuries on his face. However, police did not allow the victims to receive first aid.

Moreover, police willingly and wrongly wrote a report saying the victims came to disrupt the local residents and were beaten by some local youths. Rev. Quang strongly rejected such a report.

This latest attack is another attempt to eradicate the Mennonite church of My Phuoc. In recent months, this small and poor church has constantly been a victim of serious attacks led by communist security forces.
